Hello! Thank you so much for taking a minute to look at my bio. As you can see from my photo, I have been happily married to my beautiful wife and best friend, Nicole, since June of 2010. We also have a wonderful son, Samuel (We call him Sam!). I grew up in Great Bend, Ks where my faith in Jesus Christ began. At an early age, I developed a passion for music, especially singing and playing the piano and guitar.  As my love for music grew, I began to realize that God was working on my heart to enter the ministry.  In 2011, I graduated from Sterling College with a BA in Christian Ministries: Worship Leadership.  I have been involved in ministry with First Southern Baptist Church DC since 2012. In August of 2015, my role changed to Associate Pastor responsible for both worship and youth ministry.

I am a huge Denver Broncos fan as well as an avid Kansas Jayhawk fan. As mentioned earlier, my passions include music, playing/watching almost any type of sport, spending time with my wife and friends, and writing songs.

As Christians, I believe it is our upmost duty and privilege to worship Jesus Christ. Not only should we worship him with our music and services on a Sunday morning, but we should worship Christ every day with the way we live. We should never come to church services looking to get fed only while we are there. We should be immersing ourselves in His Word, prayer, and fellowship with Him each and every day. This will lead to a beautiful overflow of our worship when we come together in sweet fellowship at His church! We are called to worship in "Spirit and Truth" which means worshipping God with the way we act, think, and believe every day by loving God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds. We also are called to love people with everything we have. This is the foundation of our minsitry as Christians. Another important aspect of ministry is developing, training, and empowering our youth to spread the gospel of Christ and to become our next generation of leaders. This world needs Christ more than anything. It is our duty to rise up and be a light to this dark world, and this is not through our own merit or doing, for our power comes from Christ alone.

Again, thank you for reading my brief profile. If you want to find out more about me, come find me! I would love to talk to you! I pray you always know God's peace and love in your lives. God bless.
